As our team grows, we are seeking a highly competent and dedicated Computer Technician to join our school community. This role is essential in ensuring that our technological infrastructure is reliable and able to support the educational needs of our students and staff.
Role Overview
The Computer Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all computer systems and technology infrastructure within the school district. This role involves providing hands-on technical support, managing hardware and software installations, and ensuring the seamless operation of our educational technology resources.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and networking equipment
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to ensure system security and data integrity
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure the optimal functioning of all IT systems
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support the integration of technology in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory and technical support interactions
- Assist with the planning and implementation of new technology initiatives and projects
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in a technical support or IT technician role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
- Any combination of training and education which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- High school graduate or the equivalent
